Isabelle draws much of her inspiration from the natural
world, her observations leading her to follow a certain grammar of form :
points, horns, rounds and spirals of shellfish. The inner tube is a material
to be tamed, the key being to use its performed curves. In order to establish
an exchange with the material, Isabelle observes the dynamics, the volume,
the density of the rubber and projects her own vision into the form. Although
not systematic, the functional aspect, which she often invests in her creations,
brings her great satisfaction. Bags of various forms are tools for transportation
and vectors of movement. A mirror incorporates itself into the surrounding
space. To Isabelle's eyes nothing is anodyne.
